Starbeck grew along the railway and the High Street. Older streets are terraces with a shared alley or a front door straight onto the pavement. Later semis sit on short drives behind the shops. Flats appear over the High Street and in small blocks near the station. HG2 is the usual postcode.
The level crossing is the local delay. If the house is north of the line, a closed barrier can hold the van even when the rest of Harrogate is clear. Buses use the High Street, so we do not treat a shop bay as a loading dock. A carry from a side street is normal and should be agreed before the day.
Harrogate Town’s ground is a short drive along Wetherby Road. On a home Saturday, that road and the streets near the hospital are a poor route out of Starbeck. Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered when you book.

Northern lists Starbeck as an unstaffed station on the Harrogate line between Leeds and York, with ticket machines and step-free platforms. The level crossing is part of the same rail line.

Moving in Starbeck: common questions
Does the Starbeck level crossing delay a move?
It can. Trains on the Harrogate line close the crossing through the day. If your street is on the far side of the line, tell us, and we will allow time rather than assume a clear run down the High Street.
Are Starbeck houses mostly terraces?
A lot of the older streets are terraces with no drive. Later semis off the High Street often have a short drive. We need to know which you have before we choose the van.
Is parking on the High Street usable for a removal van?
Only where a loading stop is legal. The High Street is a local shopping road with buses. A side street carry is common, and it belongs in the quote.
