Pannal village sits south of Harrogate where the A61 drops towards the Crimple. Main Street still has stone cottages close to the carriageway, with little room for a large van to sit. Burn Bridge and the newer closes have drives and wider turning heads, which is a different job from a cottage with steps straight onto the pavement. The station level crossing splits the village. If the keys are on the far side of the line, we allow for the barriers.

HG3 is the usual postcode. Pannal Ash, on the west side of Harrogate, is a separate place. Spacey Houses is the ribbon of houses by the A61, not the village centre. Do not send us a what3words pin for one and a street name for the other.

Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered when you book. A cottage clear-out and a four-bed estate house should not be quoted as the same van.

Moving in Pannal: common questions

Does the Pannal level crossing affect removals?

Yes if the house is on the Burn Bridge side of the line. Trains close the crossing. We build that wait into the arrival time rather than treating the A61 as a clear road.

Is Pannal Ash the same place as Pannal?

No. Pannal village and Burn Bridge are south of Harrogate, by the station. Pannal Ash is the west side of town. Tell us the postcode so we do not plan the wrong roads.

Can you load on Main Street?

Only for a short, legal stop. Main Street is narrow, with stone cottages close to the road. A newer estate with a drive is simpler. Send a photo if you are unsure.
