House moves in Bilton, Harrogate

Bewerley Road is in Bilton, so most of this area is under a mile from our base. Skipton Road, Woodfield and the newer cul-de-sacs each need a different stop.

Bilton is a mix of interwar semis, stone houses towards Skipton Road, and later estates with drives and short turning heads. Bewerley Road sits in this part of HG1, so the van is not coming across town. The limit is the street. Woodfield Road and Bilton Lane carry school traffic. Cul-de-sacs off them park nose to tail by early evening. A house with a drive is straightforward. A terrace that fronts the A59 needs a stop that is not in the running lane.

Tell us if there is a green, a bend, or cars that do not move on the day. We would rather send a smaller van and make a second trip than block a turning head. Parking suspensions, if you need the kerb, go through North Yorkshire Council.

Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered when you book. A part-load from a Bilton semi often suits a smaller vehicle. A full family house needs the inventory before we set the time.

See house removals for a full home move. We also cover Jennyfields and Killinghall. Harrogate removals is based on Bewerley Road.

  • Football

    Harrogate Town AFC, Wetherby Road

Harrogate Town play at Wetherby Road, HG2 7SA, on the far side of town from Bilton. Match traffic is on the A661, so Skipton Road is usually the slower road for a Bilton load.

  • Cricket

    Harrogate Cricket Club

The St George's Road ground is south of the town centre, not in Bilton. Saturday cricket does not fill Bilton Lane, but it can slow a run across town to Leeds Road.

Moving in Bilton: common questions

Is Bewerley Road itself in Bilton?

Yes. 68 Bewerley Rd, HG1 2AX, is our base in Bilton. Jobs on this side of Harrogate are a short hop, which still leaves the drive, the bend and the parking to plan.

Can you get a large van down Bilton's cul-de-sacs?

Often yes, but some turning heads are tight once cars are parked both sides. A photo of the road and the drive helps us send the right vehicle.

Does the A59 affect a Bilton move?

Skipton Road is the busy edge of Bilton. If your house fronts the A59, we need a safe place to stop that is not in the running lane.
