Spofforth lines the A661 between Harrogate and Wetherby. Stone houses, a few newer homes, and the castle on Castle Street make up the village. English Heritage directs castle visitors to roadside parking, so the High Street is already used by people stopping. A removal van needs its own legal space, not a gap left for the castle.
The county boundary is close. Spofforth is North Yorkshire. Wetherby is Leeds. If you are moving from one to the other, the bins, the tip and the police force change at the boundary. Our base is about 6 miles back in Harrogate, on Bewerley Road. Harrogate Town home games are on this same A661, at Wetherby Road, so a Saturday kick-off can slow the drive out.
HG3 is the usual postcode. Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered when you book.

Leeds Council lists the Wetherby Railway Path as a disused railway cycle route linking Wetherby to Spofforth and Thorp Arch. It is not a station. The nearest live rail stops are in Harrogate or Knaresborough.
