Harlow Hill climbs Otley Road on the west side of Harrogate, about a mile from Bewerley Road. Houses are often detached, with a drive that slopes up or down from the road. Steps, a bay window and a piano are a common combination. Harlow Moor Road and the lanes by the Pinewoods are narrower, with cars parked against the woodland edge. A large van is not always the right tool.
The council describes the Pinewoods as woodland between Crag Lane, Harlow Moor Road and Valley Gardens. Visitor parking there is not a loading bay for a house. RHS Harlow Carr is on Crag Lane, next to the hill, and is not the housing estate. Send the house postcode.
HG2 covers much of the hill. Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered when you book.

Harlow Hill has no station. Otley Road is the bus route into town. The combined authority covers transport. Harrogate station is about a mile and a half towards the centre.

Harlow Hill school places go through North Yorkshire Council. Check the map for Otley Road and Harlow Moor Road. They are not the same catchment as Oatlands or Jennyfields.

West Harrogate tip is on Penny Pot Lane, HG3 2SN, just beyond Harlow Hill. Closed Wednesdays. Register before you visit. It is the obvious site for a clear-out on this side of town.

Moving in Harlow Hill: common questions
Is Otley Road steep for a removal van?
The hill is real. Drives off Otley Road can be short and sloping. Tell us if the sofa has to come up steps from a drive that already slopes. We plan the carry for that, not for a flat estate road.
Can a large van use Harlow Moor Road?
It is narrower than Otley Road, with parked cars and woodland edges. A photo helps. We may keep the large van on the main road and carry, or send a smaller one.
Is Harlow Carr the same as Harlow Hill?
Harlow Carr is the RHS garden on Crag Lane, beside the hill. Harlow Hill is the housing along Otley Road. Give us the house postcode so we do not arrive at the garden.
